Leveling board instrument

In ‘Een blik op de geschiedenis van landmeter en cartograaf’ one can read that this concerns a leveling board instrument that can be dated in the early 20th century. The instrument contains a leveling board, three screws and a hight screw. This instrument is made by H. Morin in his atelier at the Rue Dulong 11 in Paris. It has been bought there by, or for, ‘Joly Gilbert, Onnaing’. It most likely concerns the Onnaing born chevalier Gilbert Joly (1893-1971). The instrument is in the original box that also contains a lenghtening piece and a screwdriver.
