Antique Corner Cabinet

The origin of this cabinet is unknown, I bought it from people who wanted to make space for modern furniture. “It is very, very old!” How old exactly, or where the cabinet came from, they no longer knew. But age it certainly has. I sent and stained the outside and painted the inside white. Small pieces of ornamental framework are missing and there are also quite a few damages on the inside and outside. A real rough bolster … with a white spunk!

In terms of style, the cupboard corresponds to Georgian time (19th century) in Great Britain. The shape, the carved boards, the decorations, the (battered) back and the front frame. The only thing that is different is a door. My estimation is that the cupboard is (after) made by a (starting? amateur?) Furniture maker. The shape, the symmetry, the many restorations, the firmness and stability: an absolute gem. Hopefully this cabinet can show off in its restored state. We have taken photos in the neutral space, but also in a living room setting to show how beautiful the cabinet is!

Given the state, I find it difficult to determine a price. I publish the closet for this price but I invite everyone to make an offer.
